Creating a Discipleship Pathway for Your Church Workshop

Based on the book, Stride: Creating a Discipleship Pathway for Your Church

To guide people, challenge them, nurture them, and help them take their next steps on the journey of faith so that they become deeply committed followers of Christ - that is the purpose of discipleship.

Many churches struggle with having an intentional process of discipleship. Too often we lean on programs and curriculums, which are usually very good, but they never seem to to long lasting.

This seminar is designed to equip a church team to go back and create an intentional discipleship process in their church.

Topics covered include:

  • Overview of discipleship
  • Reading the signs
  • Prayer walking
  • Evaluating our current state
  • Establishing a team
  • Connections process
  • Discipleship coaching
  • Communications
  • Review, revise, renew, and refresh
  • And more . . .

This seminar focuses on practical information which can be used in all types and sizes of churches.

[Phase One = Preparation; Phase Two = Implementation; Phase Three = Sustaining]

Options for groups of churches, district, or conference

Good: Four-hour session where we can cover the basics of all three phases. A strong introduction to the overall concepts.

Better: Full-day session which goes into the details of phases one and two. Includes an overview of discipleship coaching and an opportunity for each church to begin working on their plans.

Best: Ten-hour session done over two days. This covers all three phases, training on and a chance to do discipleship coaching, and each church will leave with a clear plan for their next steps.
